He opened The Woodlands Eye Associates in the Wharf Professional Building in Grogan’s Mill Shopping Center. In 1986, he and a group of nine other doctors built and opened The Woodlands Medical and Dental Center on Medical Plaza Drive near The Woodlands Hospital where he continues to maintain the Woodlands Eye Associates, Medical Plaza Dr. office.  Due to the growth of the practice and The Woodlands, Dr. Kaufman opened his second office in Panther Creek Shopping Center.

  • Dr. George Kaufman came to The Woodlands in 1976 when there were only about 1,100 people in the new community of The Woodlands, just 28 miles north of downtown Houston. He opened The Woodlands Eye Associates in the Wharf Professional Building in Grogan’s Mill Shopping Center. In 1986, he and a group of nine other doctors built and opened The Woodlands Medical and Dental Center on Medical Plaza Drive near The Woodlands Hospital where he continues to maintain the Woodlands Eye Associates, Medical Plaza Dr. office.  Due to the growth of the practice and The Woodlands, Dr. Kaufman opened his second office in Panther Creek Shopping Center.
